1. Product introduction#

🦾 1. Product introduction#

AlohaMini is a new generation of 10,000-yuan movable lifting dual-arm robot specially built for embodied intelligent algorithm reproduction/teaching.

  • hardware advantages: integrates an omnidirectional mobile chassis, an electric lifting module and a 6+1 degree of freedom aloha robotic arm. It can be adapted to a variety of unstructured practical tasks such as low-level ground picking, desktop operation, and long-arm trajectory coordination, and has strong scene coverage capabilities.

  • full-stack ecological adaptation: is deeply compatible with the Hugging Face LeRobot v0.6 open source framework, opening up the entire link of teleoperation data set collection, model training, and local inference deployment; the communication link is targeted for high-frequency optimization, and natively supports the reproduction and fine-tuning of mainstream embodied algorithms:

  • imitation learning: ACT, Diffusion Policy, FastWAM

  • VLA body model: Pi-0.5, SmolVLA, EO-1, VLA-JEPA, GR00T N1.7, EVO1

🚀 2. Core advantages#

✅High cost performance#

  • Compress the complete hardware cost of hundreds of thousands of yuan for the “mobile base + lifting axis + double-arm collaboration” to a gradient of 10,000 yuan, making it affordable for small and medium-sized research groups, university laboratories and independent scientific researchers.

✅Full stack open source, supports second version#

  • AlohaMini1 and AlohaMini2 are now fully open source hardware and software. Mechanical CAD drawings, URDF robot description files and underlying control layer codes can be freely modified and customized according to actual scientific research needs.

✅Natively adapted to LeRobot ecosystem#

  • The whole machine is deeply compatible with the Hugging Face LeRobot v0.6 development framework, establishing an end-to-end closed loop from high-frequency teleoperation data collection, standardized data set management, model training to local inference deployment on the real machine. The device communication link has been specially optimized for high-frequency real-time performance, and natively supports the rapid reproduction, real machine verification and iterative fine-tuning of various mainstream embodied intelligent algorithms, covering ACT, Diffusion Imitation learning algorithms such as Policy and FastWAM , as well as Pi-0.5, SmolVLA, EO-1, VLA-JEPA, GR00T N1.7, EVO1 and other VLA embodied large models .

✅Low risk design#

  • The whole machine is equipped with low-torque actuator. In high-frequency teleoperation and normalized data collection scenarios, it takes into account the safety of human-computer interaction and the overload protection of the whole machine, and adapts to the needs of high-frequency teaching and scientific research in the laboratory. The equipment is equipped with two-level joint stall protection mechanism: when the clamping current exceeds 500mA, the clamping force is automatically released to prevent overcurrent damage to the motor; when the current of the other robot arm joints reaches 1800mA, the torque output is immediately stopped to avoid hardware overload faults in all aspects.

✅Multiple scene coverage#

  • The whole machine integrates an omnidirectional mobile chassis, an electric lifting module and aloha robotic arms with 6+1 degrees of freedom on both sides. It is suitable for a variety of unstructured practical tasks such as low-level picking on the ground, desktop operations, and long-trajectory coordination of both arms. It has strong scene coverage and task adaptability.

✅Ready to use right out of the box#

  • The whole machine is pre-installed and completed Factory calibration. Relying on the customized hardware management solution, The system can automatically lock the port mapping of the 5-way camera and the robotic arm when it is turned on, without any secondary configuration, from unboxing to entering the teleoperation data acquisition state No more than 5 minutes.

✅Official technical support#

  • The R&D team led by the founder of the AlohaMini project provides comprehensive pre-sales and after-sales technical support. The system is equipped with continuously updated official tutorials, , one-year warranty, and remote after-sales support for customers to train the first autonomous task, ensuring that the research team can get started with zero threshold and the algorithm can be reproduced efficiently.
